3rd Class

Explore 2D shapes and their properties in relation to transformation in our Transformation unit. Then investigate types of lines and angles, and grid systems in our Spatial Awareness and Location unit.

4th Class

Transform shapes, explore rotational symmetry and play with tessellation and shape manipulation in our Transformation unit. Then work on identifying, classifying and measuring angles, as well as exploring scales on maps and drawings in our Spatial Awareness and Location unit.

5th Class

Explore angles, scale maps and introduce the first quadrant of the coordinate plane in our Spatial Awareness and Location unit. Then examine reflection and rotational symmetry, and plot and transform shapes on the coordinate plane in our Transformation unit.

6th Class

Further explore angles and scale maps, and introduce the full coordinate plane in our Spatial Awareness and Location unit. Then apply transformations on the full coordinate plane and explore regular and semi-regular tessellations in our Transformation unit.
