Maths Eyes Posters
Maths My Way includes a monthly Maths Eyes Poster that encourages children to see maths in the world around them, prompts maths talk, and facilitates revision and integration of multiple maths topics.
Sample Unit: 10. Addition 2
This unit focuses on choosing efficient strategies to solve addition problems, both without and with renaming. Strategies revisited include mental methods such as making numbers ‘friendlier’ and partitioning numbers into tens and ones and adding each in turn, and the column method.
Sample Unit: 6. Time 1
This unit builds on children’s understanding of time, through activities which explore reading and using calendars, remembering and comparing days of the week, and working out the duration of events.
