Faith Seeking Understanding is a series of textbooks which fulfil the requirements of the NCCA syllabus for Religious Education as a subject in the Leaving Certificate Examination.

• The course consists of nine modules, of which each student must complete four. There is one compulsory module that every student must cover: The Search for Meaning and Values. This text was revised and a new
edition published in 2022.

The other modules are:
• Christianity: Origins and Contemporary Expressions
• World Religions
• Moral Decision Making
These three modules are published in one textbook, and students study two of the three.

There are a further five modules, from which students choose two:
• Religion and Gender
• Issues of Justice and Peace
• Worship, Prayer and ritual
• Religion and Science
• The Bible, Literature and Sacred Text

These are the only Religious Education texts published in Ireland that cover the Leaving Certificate examination syllabus.
