What Teachers are saying

"I feel that all of the strands; Algebra, Data and Chance, Measures, Numbers, Shape and Space; get an adequate amount of coverage and exposure in this book. This constant reinforcement will give the pupils a chance to deepen their elements of understanding."

Katie Cowan - St. John the Baptist BNS

What Teachers are saying

"It’s incorporating the bits of the new curriculum such as the changes in fractions, time and (the one I’m concerned about) transformation, without being too challenging too quickly or presenting it in a daunting way."

Sabrina Rabbette - St. Brigid’s Primary School

What Teachers are saying

"I think they look great. I talked through the week 1 with my class there and they liked it"

Noelle Igoe - Scoil Mhuire

What Teachers are saying

"Very clear, colourful, engaging, well laid out. I feel it is appropriately pitched and has lots of new curriculum flair! I like the darker questions at the bottom of each section which allow for differentiation/stretching the more able pupils. Clear instructions which will allow for pupils to complete tasks mostly independently. Solid progression as the book moves through the chapters."

Frequently asked questions

Can My Maths Practice be used alongside programmes other than Maths My Way?

Yes, absolutely. While My Maths Practice works seamlessly with Maths My Way, it has been designed to support classrooms using any maths programme. The pace of learning across programmes is generally similar, so teachers can confidently use it as intended regardless of the core programme they follow.

Is My Maths Practice suitable for multi-grade classrooms?

Yes. The programme has been carefully structured so that levels within the same stage align closely. For example:

  • 1st & 2nd Class follow the same topic structure
  • 3rd & 4th Class align
  • 5th & 6th Class align

Questions appear in a similar order and cover comparable content, making the programme practical and manageable for multi-grade teaching. Teachers can also use recurring topics or discussion-style questions as lesson starters or opportunities for whole-class discussion.

Is My Maths Practice intended for homework or classroom use?

Both. The programme was designed so children can complete activities independently, making it ideal for homework. However, it also works
very effectively in class - for example, as part of daily maths practice, lesson starters, revision activities, or discussion prompts.

Teachers can use it in whichever way best suits their classroom routines and teaching style.

How many questions are included each day, and how many weeks does each book cover?

Each book contains 30 weeks of content.

Question numbers vary by class level:

  • 1st & 2nd Class: 12 questions per day, with 15 questions on Fridays
  • 3rd & 4th Class: 14 questions per day, with 20 questions on Fridays
  • 5th & 6th Class: 16 questions per day, with 20 questions on Fridays

The structure closely follows the pacing of the school year and aligns with the progression used in Maths My Way.

What makes My Maths Practice different from other resources on the market?

My Maths Practice has been developed with a strong focus on alignment to the new Primary Maths Curriculum.

Particular attention has been given to:

  • Clear learning progression throughout the year
  • Thoughtful sequencing of content
  • Consistent daily structure
  • High-quality, accessible layout and design

The result is a resource that is practical for teachers, manageable for pupils, and carefully designed to support meaningful mathematical learning every day.
